we had a wonderful lunch together, topped off with an apple pie made by Jennifer and Jaimee

We made a “healthy” pie shell, but here is the recipe for the filling (we added fresh lemon zest to the recipe)

On Saturday, we were blessed to have the help of a friend as we began the process of laying down floors. After living on concrete for nearly 14 years, this is a very exciting event in our home!

Did you all lay the floor yourselves? Esther and I layed the flooring in our new house ( the bathrooms)

    Lovely BTW!

That pie looks absolutely picture-perfect! Mail me a piece? Again, very inspiring. And the floors look great! How exciting – but maybe a little hard to see that familiar concrete go? ;)
Wish I was seeing you today (the 26th)!

    With love, Cailan

Hello Lavin family! I have been lurking here for quite a few months now and I think it’s time for me to comment. :-) I love your blog, I love the domestic inspiration, and I love keeping up with your sweet family. Blessings to you and a wonderful weekend!
