February blessings
Monday, February 25th, 2008This month has been full of God’s blessings! Yesterday we celebrated the 71st wedding anniversary of John’s parents. It is such an honor to have them with us, to see them still in love, to hear their stories and see Christ in their lives. We had a happy time celebrating yesterday afternoon.

Happy 71st Anniversary to Carl and Martha!

it wouldn’t be a true Lavin celebration without cake and ice cream!

We had the treat of going to the San Antonio Symphony this month. Sir James Galway and his wife Lady Jeanne were the highlight of the program. They are amazingly talented on their golden flutes! At the end of the concert, many local students helped to perform Corigliano’s The Pied Piper (notice Sir Galway in the costume!). He then treated the students to “Danny Boy” – very beautiful.

Jaimee and Jennifer enjoyed a special Valentine dinner with Mrs. Patterson and their Sunday school class. God has used her to be a great encouragement and blessing to the girls.

Earlier in the month, Lynette joined many ladies in a surprise birthday party for her good friend Jan. It was a special and joyous time.

The girls are a part of the San Antonio calligraphy guild. At their February meeting, they exchanged handmade valentines. This is the one Jaimee made.

The Guild has allowed us to meet some wonderful people who are eager to share their tips and talents with us. We are grateful to be a part of it!
