The 5 Lavins

Writers of the Lost Art

This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to attend a workshop with the Austin calligraphy guild. The chief White House calligrapher, Pat Blair, gave an inspiring two day workshop on the Spencerian Script and flourishes. It was a fun time and an incredible learning experience.

while on my way to the class I saw this colorful hot air balloon passing by. I was so glad to have a red stoplight!

    Hello Lavins,
totally unrelated question: I was wondering what kind of camera you all use (if you wouldn’t mind) since your indoor photos seem consistently clear. I am looking for a new camera before going to Jamestown:-) but we’ve noticed problems with other digital cameras, so I thought I’d ask!
