a wedding shower
Last night we were blessed to host a wedding shower for Jeff and Katie (Jeff and Josh are involved in the same young men’s Bible study). Katie is from South Africa, and they met each other while on a missions trip. It was a joy to get to know them better and we pray God’s blessings on their upcoming marriage!

name that spice! A guessing game using only sight and scent.

famous twosomes game, guess the other half’s name (ex. Romeo and ?)

Katie, singing her favorite hymn: “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us”
“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” ~Psalm 118:23

Hi Lavin Family.
You don’t know me. I’ve been lurking here for quite a few months now (almost a year?).
I just had to break down and say hello. Your site is always refreshing to visit. I love all the pictures and smiling faces. And Mrs. Lavin, your home looks sooooo warm, cozy and inviting. You (and Jennifer and Jaimee, also, I assume) use “knick-knacks”, decorations and color so beautifully.
And since it’s true confessions time, I’ll admit I pop in to Joshua’s site now and then, as well. I was too much of a wimp to identify myself on his “Lurker’s Day” post!
Keep up the great, wholesome blogging. Your family is such an encouragement and bright spot in a blog world that can often be very murky.
God bless you.
Love,
Ruthanne S.
