The 5 Lavins

Eternal Impact Summit, 2006!

Sheer Silence was the theme of this year’s EIS. It was all about the life-changing idea of hearing God’s still, small Voice amidst the chaos and noise of the world. Josh, Jennifer, and Jaimee were blessed to attend the retreat at the Northwoods in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It was a time to get away to a quiet place and enjoy many rich, inspiring, and refreshing experiences. The fall colors were at their peak. The fellowship with friends in the faith was a delight. Each of the speakers challenged and encouraged us to: Listen for God’s voice, Have a personal, vibrant relationship with Christ, Hear God amidst winds, fires, and earthquakes, Learn how to spend an hour in prayer, Share a memorable testimony, Get real, and Be quiet before the Lord. Highlights included: a 1940s dinner, special quiet times with God, a wrangler’s breakfast, volleyball, kayaking, a masquerade dinner, etc.

Enjoy the photo album ... and find a quiet place where you can meet with God, hearing His still Voice and communing with Him!

What beautiful pictures! I think I want to move to Michigan….no, wait a minute – I guess I live in Michigan. :) Let me start over – those pictures make me want to stay in Michigan…forever. However, I’m thinking about taking a trip this weekend because snow is on the way. I’m thinking about somewhere warm. :)
