FIESTA!
Fiesta is a 10 day celebration that takes place every April in San Antonio. It honors the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto and celebrates San Antonio’s rich and diverse cultures. This year marked the celebration’s 115th anniversary.

Jennifer’s birthday normally falls around the time of Fiesta, so it was entertaining to see “King Antonio” pass us while we waited in traffic.

We thank the Lord for Jennifer’s 24th birthday! We celebrated by going downtown and eating on the San Antonio Riverwalk at Casa Rio.

Jennifer and Jaimee taught a class this month on calligraphy ~ the art of beautiful penmanship. We explored the history of handwriting, learned the basics of the Italic calligraphy alphabet, practiced fancy letters and flourishes, and learned how to draw creative borders that enhance cards and letters.

“rejoice with the wife of your youth” Proverbs 5:18

John did just that as he took Lynette for an after-tax-season getaway last week. They stayed at the quaint Honey Dew Cottage Bed-and-Breakfast in Boerne. They enjoyed their time together: relaxing, eating out, and visiting the local antique shops.
