What God Hath Joined

A tribute to John’s mom and dad on their 69th wedding anniversary.

To Mom & Dad,

This 24th of February, I’m so glad
To celebrate the marriage of my Mom and Dad.
A blessing to be together sixty-nine years,
Through child birth and rearing, many joy, trials and tears.

You put Christ at the top of your household to guide,
And honored Him each year as He stood by your side.
Leaving a Godly heritage for all to see,
An example to follow, most all would agree.

God has given both of you a very long life,
Blessed you for your faithfulness as husband and wife.
Your love for each other may cause some to wonder;
What God joined together, let none put asunder.
