Our Yule Tree
“He who bore our sins in His own body on the tree that we, being dead to sin, might live unto righteousness.” 1 Peter 2:24 The Christmas tree speaks to us of Jesus and Calvary. It’s a reminder that He was born that He might die. He had to die on that tree that we might be born again and experience the message of Christmas.
We went out into the woods of Home Depot to chop down (select) our Noble Fir.
The lights can signify that Jesus is the Light of the world, and in Him is no darkness at all. (John 8:12) They also remind us to let our light shine before men, that they might see our good works, and glorify our Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
